The latest senior moves, appointments and personnel changes in the North American wealth management sector.
Citi Private Bank
Citi Private
Bank has appointed Henry Woodward Middleton, Jr (pictured
below), as its Southeast market executive.
Henry Woodward Middleton
Woodward will report to Chris Biotti, head of Citi Private Bank for North America. He will start in early September.
Before this, Woodward worked at Bank of America Private Bank where he served as the executive leader for Southeast Florida, leading 18 teams across four offices. Prior to BoA, he held leadership positions with JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch and First Union Bank National Bank of North Carolina.
Outside his banking career, Woodward is actively involved in the local Palm Beach community and served in the United States Marine Corps. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and later graduated from the Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
RBC Wealth Management –
US
RBC Wealth Management – US has welcomed a new leader at its
Boston complex. Brendan Krebs, who brings more than 25 years of
industry experience, will oversee nine branches and 100 financial
advisors in the greater Boston area.
Krebs is takibg over from retiring complex director Brian Katz, who has been with RBC for nine years.
Starting his career as a financial advisor in 1998, Krebs has had leadership experience at Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo, Fisher Investments, and PNC. He’s held field leadership roles, led advisor recruiting efforts, and was most recently managing director of PNC Investments Wealth Advisors.
Krebs received a finance degree from St Joseph’s University in Philadelphia where he was also awarded the prestigious President’s Award for his academic achievements. He completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Oxford.
S3 Capital
Private real estate credit manager S3 Capital, based in New
York has opened a Dallas office. Jonathan Hart has been named
managing director of origination in the Dallas office. He will
focus on sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and closing new
loan opportunities in the region.
Hart has served in senior debt origination roles at Thorofare Capital, Peregren Capital Group, Madison Realty Capital, and ACORE Capital. He began his career at Invesco Real Estate.
Northern Trust
Northern
Trust Asset Management has appointed Pedro Guazo as head of
international and responsible investing.
Guazo, who will join in August, will have a dual mandate of leading the asset manager’s business in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific, as well as its $189 billion global responsible investing platform.
He will be based in London and part of Northern Trust Asset Management’s global leadership team, reporting to president Daniel Gamba.
Guazo will be appointed CEO of Northern Trust Global Investments Limited, subject to regulatory approvals.
Mot recently, Guazo was chief executive officer for the $100-billion United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund’s Office of Investment Management.
Orion
Orion, the wealthtech
firm working with financial advisors and other businesses, has
appointed Valli Nachiappan as chief technology officer.
Nachiappan reports to Reed Colley, president of Orion Advisor Technology. She has more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector.
Orion services $4.7 trillion in assets under administration and $98.6 billion of wealth management platform assets (as of March 31, 2025).
Osaic
Osaic, a provider of
wealth management solutions, has affiliated with Porpora Wealth
Management, a New York-based financial planning practice managing
nearly $100 million in client assets. It is led by father-son
principals Ralph and Michael Porpora, and supported by registered
administrative assistant, Mary Brennan. The firm is joining from
B Riley Wealth Management and affiliates with New York Financial
Partners, based in Jericho, New York.
Apex Group
Apex Group, a
financial services provider, has appointed Jeff Weiner as chief
operating officer. He is based in the US and has more than three
decades’ experience across operations, technology and business
transformation.
Weiner’s background includes senior roles at institutions such as Fiserv, Bank of America, Fannie Mae, Wells Fargo and, most recently, Conduent.
Apex Group was established in Bermuda in 2003 and provides services including capital raising, business and corporate management, fund and investor administration, portfolio and investment administration, ESG, capital markets and transactions support.
